MY Story

Hi! I'm Brandon, a city-dwelling scientist now making sculptures and cocktails that feel right using whatever's left...I was born in the Bahamas, raised outside Nashville, and left my hometown, family, and friends to launch a research career at Yale... 6 short months before the pandemic changed everything. I spent the next 2 years isolated in a new place, studying addiction, pain, and PTSD as though the outside world wasn't already cheerful enough. I decided I needed a change. One day, desperate to escape burnout, I wandered into an art store and bought a chunk of modeling clay and some tools. Off I went, contented with my new creative outlet, hands too messy to scroll my news feeds and sipping my poor attempt at a margarita (I had no idea there was more than tequila and lime juice involved).A couple years later, finally done with isolation and starting to make friends up here, I met my dear friends, Goose, George, and Ann. George, recognizing my fascination with his work and seeing potential in me, began teaching me classical sculpting technique while we worked together to renovate his Wallingford, CT studio. That same week, I showed up for my first shift at Ordinary, the bar that's taught me all I know about cocktails. Since then, I've spent my days working on clay, plaster, concrete and bronze sculptures, and spent my nights hauling liquor crates and ice and crafting cocktails by candlelight. I knew then that I couldn't get enough, and trust me I know the signs. So here we are. Thanks for reading; I hope you enjoy the ride with me as I continue to explore and unite my passions.Love you to death,
-B
